BSC starting to take shape?

I think everything is still wide open. The defending champ is awful, the recent standard-bearer has been embarrassed twice on a national stage, and the traditional power blew a 24-3 lead. Frankly, the only team that's matched their billing has been Weber State, as a good but not elite team.

I love my Griz but am a bit surprised anyone is talking playoffs. Until we stop giving up 500+ yards to every team we play there will be no chance of playoffs. Let's fix some things first, stay grounded, and win one game at a time.

Talking about it amongst fans has no baring on if the Griz stay grounded and win one game at a time. Talking about how horrible the defense is won't get it fixed either. It always kills me when people on this site say stuff like "we're getting ahead of ourselves" or "i feel like we shouldn't overlook ISU on here". Like seriously, it makes NO difference what the fans are talking about. Or if I choose to overlook ISU, that doesn't mean the Griz are. In fact, i Know they're not. And a fan talking about playoffs when the Griz have ISU this week, will not cause the actual football team to overlook the Bengals. The two are completely seperate.

Sorry hookedon, not lecturing you personally, just those posts always get me.

Things people write on eGriz kills you, George? Sheesh. Stay alert, stay alive I guess.

This is all just for fun because its Sunday night and we have to wait 6 days for the next episode to unfold.
What I don't see the Big Sky having right now is a juggernaut on defense. Everyone is allowing points so either everyone has a decent offence or everyone's defense has not found that second gear yet. It was good to see the Griz come out and at least not roll over in the second half but kept fighting, a good sign but lots to fix.
Weber may be the team to beat but they have a tough road also. They get both the Griz and EWU coming off a bye week, that can be good or bad. ISU, are they for real?, I guess we will see come Saturday or if we win we may here the same old song, oh they weren't that good anyway
Cats have it tough as they have already had their bye week so they are the winners of having a 7 game stretch coming. I think there are really 4 true contenders, EWU, Griz, Weber, (not in any order) and then either NAU or ISU, but what the hell do I know.
If the Griz can pick up a much needed win next weekend in Pokey Fellow, they get to return home to what appears to be a hapless beat up UND squad, then a bye before Weber. Lots of trap games coming too. Going to be a fun next couple weeks.

Weber's defense hasnt allowed an FCS team to score more than 17 points offensively this year. Id say thats pretty good.
