BSC & FCS School EWU Has Player Charged with Rape

Perhaps the last one was moved because it mentioned an age in subject line. Would be nice to see mods allow this to be discussed. It has current relevance. I suspect all schools will now move quickly when issues like this occur.

Football: An Eastern Washington University football player faces arraignment next week on felony charges of second-degree rape and residential burglary stemming from an alleged incident last weekend on campus.

Dalis Bruce, 18, a freshman wide receiver from Bellflower, Calif., was arrested Sunday morning by EWU police officers after they received a telephone report of a possible sexual assault. The officers later interviewed witnesses, questioned Bruce and arrested him.

Bruce spent Sunday night in the Spokane County Jail. On Monday, he appeared in Spokane County Superior Court and was released that night after posting a $25,000 bond.

Bruce, a 2012 recruit, first arrived in Cheney in July, but was sent back to California while his academic record awaited final approval by the NCAA. He returned to Cheney on Friday.

Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday in Superior Court.

Bruce has been suspended indefinitely from the EWU football team.
 
Yeah. Because it's certainly not enough to have 72 threads on the front page about our OWN team's various rape issues. Let's clutter the board with 15-20 about OTHER team's problems so we can feel better about ourselves.
 
She’s probably just a vindictive tramp bringing charges against a star athlete because she wants publicity and hates the EWU football program. I hope he gets a dream team of amateur lawyers supporting his cause over on the eagles message boards.

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing them all moved, as I posted in those other threads. Within a week football will take top spot, as season is less abt 10 days out!!
 
never understood why people get bothered by threads getting moved? is it that much harder to click the "sports" forum than the "griz football" forum? i guess i'd understand if the football forum was free to read and the others you had to pay for but i must be missing something?

25000 dollar bond for that... a person I know got busted with 4 lbs of pot and his bond was 75000.. Doesnt make sense to me..
 
So scaring some one for life and physically abusing them isn't as bad as selling harmless flowers. logical. No... Plus who said he was selling it? He got busted because a "friend" snitched on him to get out of his own problems.

Anyone with four pounds of pot is selling. It ain't potatoes in the pantry for Sunday dinner.
 
I moved this because it is turing into a "look, we arn't so bad, other programs do the same thing".

It belongs in the sport forum...

He transferred to the Griz after he was kicked off of EWU, figured he could fit in over in Missoula...
