Brody McKnight

Looks like he was cut before he even got to rookie camp. From what I can figure with dates and the Jets website. April 28 was the last day of the draft the Jets picked up Josh Brown on May 1 to compete with NIck Folk and and Brody was at rookie camp on May 5. Sucks getting cut before they even see you kick.
crackgina said something about him being in Arizona??
I looked on the CFL website for Montreal Aloettes who I think drafted him and he isn't on the roster? CFL starts pretty soon so where the heck is Brody?

I hope we find where he will be playing. This is another reason to not like the Jets. Why invite someone in, then shortly after invites another veteran in? At the very least give the invited player a chance to compete. Good luck, Brody.

Still no info that is up to date.

McKnight returned to Montana for his senior year and, although he wasn't picked in the NFL draft, he was invited to the New York Jets' recent mini-camp. But just before camp started, the Jets signed placekicker Josh Brown, a nine-year veteran who had been released by St. Louis.

McKnight still attended, but wasn't offered a contract.

He auditioned for the Arizona Cardinals last weekend and, although the Cards liked what they saw by all accounts, they also are not prepared to release veteran kicker Jay Feely, going into his 12th season. Feely has played for Atlanta, the Giants, Jets and Miami, and will be entering his third season with Arizona.

"He can definitely play in the league," said Gil Scott, McKnight's Toronto-based agent. "He's an NFL kicker. We'll see what happens."

With NFL teams having ended their mini-camps, it now will probably become more difficult to get McKnight a workout. While Scott and Popp have touched base, the agent doesn't appear to be in any hurry. And the Als, who have Sean Whyte returning for his second season, don't exactly have a vacancy, either.

"We can wait. They know we have his rights," Popp said.

Scott said he hasn't sat down with McKnight to see what are the player's intentions. McKnight didn't return messages left by The Gazette.

"He's good enough to play there. Will he get the chance? I can't say," Scott said. "But he's very good. I can be patient, for now. We'll see if he can be patient."
