Living in Virginia, you can imagine how excited we were to hear the Griz would be playing 2 hrs away from home. We hadn't seen a live game since the Appalachian state game over here. My wife and I decided to take our 10 yr old to his first Griz game. Can't tell you how excited he was. He is very passionate about football and the Griz, so you can also imagine how heartbroken he was when they lost. Zack Peavy's father, whom we had met before the game gave some very encouraging words to him, which we very much appreciated. Not wanting our Montana night to end, we sort of just stood around there talking to the five or ten fans that remained. Then Tucker Schye came running back out to talk to some friends. We then went on the field to get some pictures, and he signed my sons Griz hat. Heartbreak healed. It will be a great memory for us. Thanks Tucker! And nice blocked punt! Great effort Griz! Go maul some lumberjacks!

Schye with a blocked punt and Strahm with the other....Expect BIG things from those two the next two years......

I've tried to post the picture using Tapatalk. Not sure how to post pictures here. I agree on the big play capabilities of this team. Lots of opportunities for this game to go the other way. I didn't appreciate the "overrated" chant at the end of the game by the student section. They were very fortunate that the Griz made some mistakes,or did not capitalize to the full extent.

Blocked kick! Taking one for the team !

And all he could say afterward was. I wish I would have picked it up and ran it in. That it a rough shot right there!

He told us afterward "I wish I would have picked it up and ran it in" .That is a rough shot right there!
