Brian Qvale in ESPN Mid Major All Stars

Brian Qvale, Montana: Interior defender who has intimidated UCLA and everyone else in the paint on offense and defense. The "Q" is the highest-quality big man in the Big Sky since Steve Hayes of the 1977 Idaho State Bengals and Larry Krystkowiak of the mid-1980s Montana Grizzlies.

Since the year began, I have been beating myself up trying to think of Big Sky bigs better than Qvale on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively. I too only came up with Krsystko. Anyone before that would not be in my memory.

I thought of quite a good shotblockers, rebounders, defenders, and a few scorers, but none that was as great on both ends.

Another thing I have been wondering, Is there a better PG/big combo than Cherry/Qvale? Didn't LK have Glass and/or Zanon? As for a PG, I thought of Chris Childs, but cannot remember his big. I thought of the Great Idaho teams, but again did not recall a great big or PG. I was very young when they were great. I remember them being very deep and athletic though. Sorry, but the only name I remember on those teams was Kellerman.
