Brett Favre traded to Jets

I couold not care less more about Mr Master of Self Promotion Brett Favre. I USED to have a lot of respect for that guy, but now I hope he has the worst season of his career.

Not necessarily all his fault... ESPN etc are the ones that wont shutup about it

Having been a Packer fan since I was a child and watching Favre's career has been a very enjoyable part of my sport fanhood. Today I feel empty inside knowing that he will play in a different uniform. I think that both sides can be blamed, but the end result was less than ideal for Packer and Favre fans alike.

That just about sums up my feelings. Even last year I respected him alot, and in no way could've forseen that I'd think so low of him right now. Just a shameless offseason for this guy.

Brett Favre is a great football player. Though not a Packer fan, I've admired Favre for years. His "I'm bigger than the game" atttitude the last couple weeks has tarnished that admiration. He got traded to a barely average team as a result. I doubt the Jets are the team he wanted to go to, (4-12 last year). I don't think the Patriots are in any danger in their division.

The funny irony of this whole story is a few years back Javon Walker was demanding more $$ or to be traded. Brett came out and publicy said that the team is bigger than 1 players demands and they shouldn't deal with him. It was pretty out of character for a guy like Brett to make public statements like that.

Now he was making demands on the team and was emotionally hurt by their actions and not bending over backwards for him...

Side note regarding Javon Walker, the team did take a hard line with Javon and traded him for the draft pick that wound up getting Greg Jennings to the Packers, so it worked out REALLY well. Here's to hoping the same with this deal.

Further sidenote on javon walker. There was a girl in an entertainment management class of mine at UM who supposedly dated Javon Walker for a short time.

Brett Favre brought this upon himself. If he didn't waiver on and off and on and off and left the team's GM in limbo the last 3-4 years, they wouldn't have been forced to draft Aaron Rodgers and prepare for the future. Again, this year, if he hadn't retired in March, they wouldn't have drafted Brian Brohm in the early 2nd round.

By the way, Brohm and Rodgers both were close to being number 1 overall draft picks. They have some promising young depth at QB in GB.

I think Brett took Diva classes somewhere along the way.

Hope he has a great year in NY. Hope the Pack win the Norris Division and I hope Rogers doesn't tank it. How is that for optimistic.

Definitely. Pack fans have a lot to look forward to, those two have serious talent.
