Nice article about our other recruit. Wile Dunn looks to be a very impressive recruit, nobody seems to be talking about this guy. Gfeller has a very smooth stroke, gets to his spot with ease, drives well, and has a pretty decent handle with both hands. His long arms are disruptive getting his active hands out into passing lanes to tip away the ball. He will need to work on lateral foot speed and not getting too upright on D at the next level.

Tinks sure found another great looking shooter. I hope to see them use Martin more next year to collapse the D a little and develop him more as a passer to work inside out to all these shooters. Granted, he'll have to get in a little better shape, and stay out of foul trouble....

On a side note, it is too bad Brandon struggles in the classroom like he does.... 8-)

Way to keep the talent coming in Tinks!!!

Thanks for that. Looks like St. George did it again, though. They held Gfeller to 5 points as they cruised to a win over Colfax.

He signed with Montana in November. Four other schools offered scholarships – Idaho, Idaho State, Portland State and Eastern Washington University.

Idaho coach Don Verlin was the first to offer a scholarship. And for proximity reasons, it made sense to pick Idaho or EWU, where he enjoyed meeting coach Jim Hayford.

The fact that Montana has had much success in recent years, going to the NCAA tournament two out of the last three seasons, struck a chord with Gfeller.

“What’s not to like about the NCAA tournament?” Gfeller said.

THIS

...is how small schools slowly start to get better recruits. The recent success and ability to make the big dance is slowly allowing Montana/Tinkle to attract recruits we couldn't in years' past. A groundswell is beginning to develop...
