It's confirmed. Brady Leaf is going to finish his college career as an Oregon Duck. Leaf denied the rumor that he was going to transfer at the end of the season. :thumb:

GO DUCKS!!!
GO GRIZ!!!

No offense to him, but good!

I'm with you on this one backer. He has an attitude just like his brother. Maybe not as vocal. Don't need that kind of crap in the Griz Nation. We have much better QB's waiting than him.

Whoa buddy!! You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. First, the only things he has in common with Ryan, is that they're both QBs & they share the same last name. He learned from his brothers mistakes, and is an entirely different person. Secondly, he is much more talented than any of the Griz backups.

I didn't say anything other than I am glad he is staying. have you even seen Selle? I think he will be better than your boy Ryan.

I think what nobody wants to say....The Leafs snubbed Montana.....pretty much the State, not just the school. I'm fairly certain that they both had offers from both programs and they chose to go elsewhere....The first one was a damn good college QB....the second one was a damn good HS QB, that chose Oregon....too bad for him that he will spend his entire 4 yrs riding the bench. Not sure the Griz or the Cats wanted Brady...well they might have wanted him but with the history it wouldn't have worked out....not sure either team wouldhave him back now, who really knows? As for the fans....some if not all of the old school Griz fans would probably rather not have him here at this point. Not dissin anyone here...just the way I remember it. I'm sure Brady is a fine guy...his bother probably is too....heck I don't know either one of them. I hear Ryan is Coaching HS....in Texas is it? Anyway....I think that the bridge to Montana was burned way back

My post wasn't directed at you. It was directed at GrizWiz. Just for your info, his name is BRADY LEAF, not RYAN.

Nobody's mad that they went out of state. Ryan built is own doghouse when, in his press conference, he said he was glad to be from Pullman, Washington. :tounge:

Ryan Leaf snubbed Montana, not Brady. Don't judge a book by its cover. In other words, don't judge a player by his name. Yes Brady committed to Oregon, and he is fulfilling his commitment. If you look at the original post you will see that it was GreenDay17 that said "Let me be the first to predict that Brady Leaf will transfer to the UM following this season." I posted the link to confirm that he wasn't going anywhere. That's it. I didn't post it to start a controversy. Just for information. About Ryan, I believe he's a volunteer assistant for a small college somewhere in Texas.

I agree with you Putter. I don't like Ryan, and I lost A LOT of respect for him when he made that comment.

However, Brady is a different person, and he shouldn't be trashed on because of his last name. Everyone's different. As I said before, he learned from his bro's mistakes. I know you didn't say anything bad about Brady, but a lot of people on here have.

Fellas, Brady Leaf will be a senior next season and per NCAA I-AA's new rules, he's ineligible to transfer to a I-AA program.

I knew that, just got in a hurry. I am a MT native who made a mistake, but thanks for setting me staright.

I wouldn't say that Leaf is better than Bergquist or Selle. I'm not sold on Stapp. I played against Leaf in HS. I wouldn't say that he doesn't have an attitude. He was talking about going pro before even setting foot in Eugene. He just hasn't had a platform to vocalize anything because he hasn't had significant playing time.

He can't transfer anywhere anyway due to the new rule. That rule makes zero sense in my oppinion.

If we solve the QB situation for next year during the season this year, we are not going to have anything to discuss all summer.

With that said, I hope we give one of our Montana kids, the green light next year, and I consider Bergquist a Montana kid now. He came here because he wanted too, not because he was'nt playing somewhere else.

I haven't seen Selle or Stapp play, so I can't say anything about them. But what I've seen from Berquist so far, he is not better than Leaf right now. The potential is there, but we will have to wait and see how he develops. Brady has never gotten significant playing time at Oregon to really see how talented he truly is. However, he has the potential to be a better NFL QB than Oregon's starter Dennis Dixon.
