Kid deserves a shout out. In the 5 games he has played in their entirety, the Griz are 4-1 with wins over NDSU, EWU, MSU, and SDSU. 3 of those teams were ranked top 12 or higher. Griz have averaged 40 points per game with him at helm compared to 25 without him. Glad he is a Griz!

Glad he didn't transfer as some I believe had predicted? Or was that Simis? I forget. Smart kid, well spoken, represents the Griz very well on and off the field. Good things are happening folks, good things are happening.

Actually Gus transferring was a very real thing prior to Spring Ball....but things clicked between him and Stitt....and well....here everyone is....

Gus has been a great leader for the Griz. His return from injury lifted the team and he gives everyone around him a boost of confidence. And, unlike Big G, he has strong ties to Sidney, where both his parents graduated from Sidney High School and many relatives still live today. We're big fans of Big Gus out here on the plains of eastern Montana! Go Gus and Go GRIZ!

Like one Griz fan mentioned the other day: Brady is head and shoulders above our other QBs.

Joking aside he is doing all he can to make our offense go. This young man is doing very well and we all should be proud of him and very glad he is our QB!

Another impressive stat.... In those five games Brady has thrown a total of 1701 yards. That is an avg of 340 per game!

I really think he would have been a strong Payton candidate had he stayed healthy. Oh well, onward and upward. :thumb:

And good thing there's next year for him, he'll be a clear candidate!

I rarely agree with you, but you got this one absolutely correct. Finally.

Are you sure? When Selle first got hired, I had a conversation with him on this subject. He had heard nothing about it, and looked at me like I was an idiot. As everyone knows, Selle had also played QB at Billings West, been coaching there while Brady was there, and was friends with him. Seems incredibly odd that Selle, in that position and being from Billings, and living in Billings, would not have heard anything about that. I will try to remember to ask the current West coach, who may have been Brady's coach when he was in high school, and who is my relative by marriage.

I don't know what Brady was saying at the time, but the folks at Rocky thought they were getting him IF he wasn't in the starting QB convo following spring ball. I was told that they were going to allow him to play both football and basketball, and that came from members of the RMC football program.

I suppose you're right. Meant "bigger idiot than normal". Ha. I know Selle reasonably well. Have been out and about with him a few times. Saw him yesterday. Given that Selle had just taken the QB job at UM, had been living in Billings and coaching at West, knew Brady and had also played at West, etc., it would seem odd that Selle appeared not to have heard about Brady transferring. My only information had come from egriz posts that seemed semi-credible.

I will also give Brady props too, not only for his play but for the kind of guy he is. My son had him for his coach this past June when the Griz hosted the Youth football clinic at WGS. All the guys were great but Brady was as nice a guy to my boy as you could have asked. Go BRADY!!!! My son said many times, how nice a guy he is.
