Bowl Games

I noticed a lot of ESPN cameras panning the lights in many of the tidy bowl games rather than catching any glimpse of paltry attendance.

Will watch a few of the bowls around New Years Day and the dates beyond, maybe.....

The real attendance of many of these games would be hard pressed to match either the attendance or passion of our game versus N Iowa....

Love the chance for a real championship and hate the pretend FBS approach
 
The Horns offense sleep walked through almost two quarters, but finally woke up just before half time. They are young and hopefully will be back next year in their rightful place in the top ten. Ah yes the sense of promise of a bright future next season and a developing young talent at the QB position ~ sound familiar?

Things are looking interesting in Pasadena..lots of Red on Colorado Blvd and all hotels sold out in town and the surrounding areas...83 degrees today and crystal clear...Oregon people coming in tomorrow...and the enthusiasm matches any game I have seen here, yet....the attendance should be over 100,000.....
 
Apparently I am also boycotting the bowl games without even trying. Don't know who plays when, and don't really care. <Yawn.>

Went to the Rose Bowl two years ago for Oregon vs. Ohio State. Anyone who thinks there is no "passion" or "excitement" or "intensity" from the fans of these schools and the atmosphere surrounding these bigger Bowl Games is absolutely nuts. This is an enormous game for both programs with a Rose Bowl trophy on the line.
 
...With the exception of a few select Bowls.For the most part they are as about as interesting as watching paint dry. As long as some people are making money off of these events, they will keep growing. Seriously, if you can find a sponsor, form a non-profit, start a Bowl. Call it the Deno's Casino Bowl or whatever...You can make a bunch of money. Until the laws are changed, or the system altered. These meaningless bowl games will keep popping up. Sure there are only so many teams that can qualify. But as one Bowl goes down..Up pops another to replace it..

I'm sure for the players, it is cool to play in another game. For the team, more practice time. And for alumni, and fans of these schools. a chance to see your team on a National scale. We all know how pumped Griz nation gets for a primetime playoff matchup..Sort of the same idea, except no consequence should you lose(as far as elimiantion in a playoof scenario) So for these reasons. These Bowls that nobody cares about serve a purpose..I suppose like anything. If you don't like it..don't watch it.
 
I like the bowl games, They are fun to watch, would be cool to go to one or even host one in Missoula. Just my opinion.
