Id be pleasantly surprised, and it'd news to me, if we were at that level for NIL. I don't think thats factual.

If Wyomings AD is telling the truth it sounds like both Montanas and Dakota States are or have been asking to join the MWC. Missed out on it this time but I really hope it happens bare minimum around 2030 when the next round of Realignment is supposed to happen.

I know that Montana and Montana St along with some dakotas approached the MWC but needed financial concessions. MWC was unwilling or unable to help them cover the expense, which in some ways stems from UNLV and Air Force asking for larger percentages to stay.
