We won and now we are whining about the game being too boring???? WTF? Holy f'ing crap. The sense of entitlement and spoiled nature of some griz fans is too much...

Think some of you should quit watching college football and go watch an Arena game or CFL game instead. Maybe more your style... or maybe you just don't like football? Maybe pro wrestling is more your style or Globetrotter basketball. I don't know...

Maybe you are one who should start rooting for the Bobcats, since you are satisfied with our team looking like horsesh*t for three quarters, and actually being out-scored in those quarters by a team who would have trouble competing in the Frontier Conference, and playing with their third string QB.

The Griz fans I know understand that our current team can not win against the top tier of FCS teams in the country. This has never been the case in the past 30 years. They want to return to that level of excellence. Not whining. Just the facts, Mr. Sam "mediocrity lover" Blitz.

You haven't stated any facts in any of your arguments.

I hope there aren't many fans like you. I don't mind constructive criticism, even if it is misinformed, but you just talk shit about the team all the time. You are the type of fan players hate. The fan that just rips on you and the team all the time. Saying how you need to do things better and how the coaches need to do things better, when they aren't there for team meetings, practices, game preparation, 6 am training, any of it... Thinking that you know what plays should be run, when you don't know a tenth of 1% about the players' and team's capabilities that the coaches do and haven't watched hours of film on the opposing team. All that preparation is from the mindset of winning the game and improving. In meetings and practice, the team doesn't say things like "you know what would be really entertaining" or "we need to spice up our play calling for the fans".

I don't agree with all that mtgrizrule and a few of the other critical posters have posted, but at least they put actual substance into his arguments and actually shows that he has some knowledge about football. It's constructive and he makes relevant points agreeable or not. Your jibberish is just whining and shows you know nothing about the sport.

Guess what? When the team does win a championship, I doubt they would want to be celebrating with fans like you. They want the fans that weren't talking garbage and were supporting them.

Get out the crying towel. I think even you might understand that every team in the country gets up early, goes through two-a-days, has to watch film, attends team meetings, etc., even teams like northern Colorado and Idaho State. So that means we should just STFU and be satisfied with what they do on the field? Should the Northern Colorado fans just STFU about their team who is a perennial cellar dweller? How about ISU? And should we just accept that Delaney is over his head, just because he is a nice guy, gets up at 5 am, and works very hard at his job? Unfortunately in college athletics, they do not grant participation trophies! You produce or you go. And the bar is high at Montana. Going 9-3 and losing at home in the first round of the playoffs, when heavily favored, is not getting it done.

Your allegation that I just bitch without providing substance is unfounded. I have offered suggestions as to how to fix some of our problems. I'll go over some of them again, since you need a remedial course. Dump this outdated offense and go to a multi-set offense, utilizing some elements of the spread, as well as the pro-set. Use more mis-direction and trap plays in the running game instead of zone blocking all of the time. Use more drag patterns to the tight end. Throw to the backs more often. Use the traditional center screen more often. Get rid of the double O-coordinators concept and go with a single coordinator.

Sit SSH on the bench, and promote one of the two young QBs into the #2 slot. Against weak teams like North Dakota, give him a series running the first unit offense early in the second quarter. Do this every game possible until we get to the tough games.

I could go on, but do not want to bore you with my lack of knowledge of the game of football.

The offense isn't outdated. It works for many successful teams at all levels of football. We just need to keep improving on our execution. Right now we are limited with what we can do with our offensive line. Not saying the play calling is perfect, but I think the calling has been acceptable at this point in the season, given some of the limitations we have.

If you're going to put in a freshman QB in the game early in the 2nd quarter, you better be up by at least 40 points. Giving him one series early in the game is not going to help him develop. Young QBs develop by multiple reps and working through the game. Your proposal, you'll likely have a kid go in and struggle for one series, with no opportunity to get comfortable and acclimate to the game or fix his errors. That does him no good and it will piss off the rest of the offense and the defense if it is a 3 and out. You usually only put freshmen QBs in only in the 4th quarter of a blowout. That is the only time it should be done, unless your season is over already anyways and your starter is struggling. Our season isn't and our QB isn't.

What you're proposing here with the change in offense is a total over-haul of the coaching staff. OK if that's your opinion, but you should also expect the rest of the year to be toast and to have one or two very sub-par years after that decision is made as the new coach implements a new offense with his recruits. Making that change at the early part of the season, when are only losses were close losses on the road to the #1 ranked team and an FBS team, would be stupid. Thank God Haslem isn't that dumb.

Great programs are built over-night and we are still building from the debacle that happened a couple years ago. Mowing over what has been built and starting from scratch again isn't the right move in my opinion, unless things totally fall apart this season. Right now, I see positive momentum and improvement.
