Boise v Oregon

What a great way to start the football season, this game better finish up 62-61 or something, hopefully there's no defense at all and lots of crazy trick plays.

I LOVE these two games tonight. I love SEC pound it out football with USC beating NCST 7-3 followed by some razzle dazzle high scoring stuff with Boise St. and Oregon.

And, as always with FBS football: Go Dores!!!

Very good game but I expected more scoring.

Ahhhh ain't it great?? College football has returned! Life is good.

Wow, both games were fun at times but very sloppy. Congrats to Boise for winning despite doing just about everything they could to lose this game in the 2nd half.

WOW so who watched the post game to see Blount with Oregon (who talked trash earlier in the week about the game) sucker-punch a Boise player in the jaw and then attack a fan?

Dude's gonna find himself on the bench for a long time, if he's even on the team tomorrow...

It was just disgusting. Hell of a punch too, I know the Boise player got up fairly quickly, but damn I wouldn't have wanted to be on the receiving end of that. He should marry the bench if they let him sit on it, there's a very good chance he'll get an NCAA sanction from this. As for the coach, hell I'd just boot Blount off the team. Didn't they (broadcasters) say during all this, that Blount had issues in the summer practices? I know they mentioned everyone had thought he "grew up", but I'm also pretty sure they mentioned some discipline problems as well.

Yeah they said that he was suspended from the 1st scrimmage for some attitude issues.

Runs his mouth before the game, doesn't back it up on the field, then sucker punches a guy without a helmet on and then attacks a fan?!? What a punk.

The BSU player pushed it by first slapping down at Blount's shoulder pads. However, what Blount did was inexcusable. The stupid SOB better be sitting out at least one game.

Then to get into it with the fans - I was waiting for him to hit one of the cops. He was acting irrational enough to.

Oregon just could not get it together for that game. BSU gave them lots of chances to get back in too.

Besides the Blount fiasco, there were 2 things that struck me funny:
- Duck fans high-5'ing when UO gets their first 1st down - halfway through the 3rd Quarter! Lame.
- BSU fans chanting "OVER-RATED". That is such a stupid chant. What does it say about your team? It is like saying that "the other team sucked worse than us" or "we beat a team that should not have even been rated". Wouldn't you want everybody thinking that you beat a great team instead? BSU fans should have been chanting "UNDER-RATED" for their own team. Or, how about "BCS" or "ON THE RADAR".

The funny thing is, I was at the Boise State - Washington game several years ago, where the Broncos basically handed the game to the Huskies. And the entire fourth quarter you could hear chants of "overrated". Not only does that seem to downplay the significance of your own team's win, but...what goes around comes around... (like Weber fans chanting that in Ogden last year)
