BOZEMAN — Montana State wide receiver David Dash suffered what is likely a career-ending knee injury during the second day of fall drills.

Dash, a senior who was in the running to start for the Bobcats, was injured during practice Tuesday morning.

Bobcat coach Rob Ash says he feels sick for Dash, who worked hard to get himself into contention to earn a starting spot.

Dash, of Fontana, California, played as a true freshman in 2010, redshirted in 2011 and played the past two seasons. He played in all 12 games as a junior and caught seven passes.

He is scheduled to graduate from MSU in December with a degree in sociology.

Hate seeing a player have to suffer a bad injury, let alone a career-ending one. Hope Dash has a quick recovery and good luck to him in whatever is in his future!

Uggh. That's terrible. Simply hate to see that for guys who work their asses off.

All the best to Dash.

All the best to him... I know what blown out knees are like... The only things that help me are DMSO and my Tens unit...

Nagging knees ended my college career way early, disappointing for sure...my best to him, a sad way to leave a great sport

Saw that on FB earlier today, crappy news. Hate to see any player have a season or career ending injury.

Hate to see any player get injured...too bad is has to be such a big part of this game. Hope he has a speedy recovery...not the end of the world.

hate to hear this,,the good news is, it sounds like he was a STUDENT athlete and will get his degree and life goes on.................

Hate to see this happen to any athlete. I hope he will help coach this season, and maybe get an idea if coaching is something he might want to pursue. My best to him.

Barring a career-ending knee injury, Dash will give opposing corners fits this season!

And too soon....I tell ya, the 'scats have had the shit luck with injuries the past few years...
