BOBCAT DAD SENDS 5 YR OLD BOY TO SAY EAT $HIT GRIZ TO 3 75 YEAR OLD GRIZ FANS AT FRISCO

Seen several Griz fans down in frisco. There were two brothers (one in cat gear, the other Griz) . I guess they both go down whenever one of the Montana schools make it to the NC. Very fun speaking with them.

The ESGGCG chant is absolutely embarrassing unless we’re actually playing each other. This didn’t happen in frisco thankfully.

i've been to several games in bozeman. when it's cat griz, i don't mind that chant at all. kind of adds to the intensity of the atmosphere/rivalry. but when i've been there for non-cat/griz games and hear it, i am overcome with vicarious embarrassment. it is just a really weird and awkward thing to do. the idea that people would do that at a wedding is....stupid.

and people are right, there are assholes at both stadiums. but i haven't missed a cat griz game at either stadium for 20+ years and only missed a handful of them in the 13 years prior to that, and i can say with certainty that for the past 15 or so years, bozeman has been awful as a griz fan. we have some wonderful cat friends who throw a very welcoming and safe tailgate, but once you step outside of that area, it's game on for obnoxious cat fans. i can list many examples. i'm not intending to re-ignite this "tale as old as time" argument, but the streak created something dark in the collective souls over there. made it much uglier than it used to be. however, i have to say this year was maybe the most threat-free and generally incident free experience i've had over there in YEARS. and i think it has to do with the cats success for the past decade and many new cat fans not living through the streak. don't get me wrong, i love the banter and the intensity of the rivalry for fans, but can do without threats of violence and actual violence and welcome more experiences like i had there this year.

Absolutely. This year was the first year I brought my son to Cat/Griz. It’s absolutely ridiculous to see full grown men that probably live an hour away from each other act that way.

I’m glad you had a great experience it seems like both fan bases are doing better in that regard. However, I’m interested to see what happens when the home team finally loses again…. That’s when I’ve always seen the worst in the fan bases

Yes it did 100%. I have video of it. A group of cats fans in a karaoke bar in Frisco the night before the chipper singing it to Mony Mony while cats fans were on stage doing the karaoke. Pathetic.

Gotcha. I was referring to at the game. I wasn’t at that bar but I’m sure it happened.

I grew up in Bozeman but left after high school. The town is just classless and overrun with out of state idiots. On the rare occasion I do end up talking to anyone I know that grew up there or graduated from MSU, they always want to talk about the Cats program now and I am just like can you please just put the McRib in the bag so I can get out of here.

Everything about that place is low rent
Except the rent.
