As I think many know the Griz have a new tackling dummy in practice that's got wheels and runs on a remote control. Two great videos of it today.

The first one, Bob vs the Robot (Bob being starting guard Robert Luke)

Next, kicker Tim Semenza vs the Robot at the goalline, turn the sound on for this one.

Rainey also got a day 1 welcome from it:

Riley showing some of the more practical use for it:

That second video is awesome.

for those of us who played, that feeling of belonging to a team, being genuinely happy for a teammate and the pride of being part of something bigger than any one person cannot be replicated.. its awesome !

Geez, Semenza lays that thing OUT.

If he could only a football with his leg that hard, we'd be in fine shape.

Semore kicked back a great reply to Rainey about his tweet with the tackling dummy head hunting him:

PR is ok, why the animosity?

ManDartmouth1, I don't believe that GrizDartmouth420Dartmouth's post was filled with Dartmouth animosity. I believe he was just politely pointing out -- you know, the Dartmouth way -- to pr that not everyDartmouththing needs to be about him.

The new "Dartmouth" tackling dummy got a good reception today. A second one is on the way.

I know there are a few types. Aren't they 8-10k or so?

I was thinking $8,000. About 5'11", 200, and 4.8 40. Developed by 2 engineering students, one a football player and one a rugby player, with guidance from the head coach Buddy Teevens '79.

The guys looked good at practice. Very athletic, mobile, muscular and fit. Coaches obviously into it too. O-line is bulkier. D-line, especially tackles, are big. Nice pick 6 by Sandry.
