You can almost smell the split of BCS- AQ from the NCAA in Football only, either by force or by design. 5 years from now we might see a new NCAA Division with CUSA, MAC, WAC, some MWC, Sun Belt, and a few top FCS mixed in. Move about 75% of FCS back a division for Football.

You can almost feel the whole NCAA football structure creaking and groaning under the weight of budget cuts and massive TV contracts.

I wonder if the NCAA can use March Madness as leverage with the BCS schools. they make a ton of money from basketball as well and a little pressure on the B-Ball side may cause them to reconsider separating.
