Spent 9 months there doing a big Town Pump project. The town is great, it's just where it's at is the problem.

Having an Ugly Burger makes the trip worth it.......almost!

AND, Nalivkas Pizza. Might be the best in the state.

How drunk were you when you were there??

I can't really talk...I grew up in Chester and Havre was the "big city" to us...at least when we didn't feel like driving all the way to Great Falls.

Chester? How in h e double toothpicks did you sleep in that town? That railroad that runs through it is brutal.

Can't think of the name of the bar, but it's one of the ones on hwy 2 there in town, it has the best nachos I've ever had.

Shelby to the east of Chester has some options to eat...

I'd be curious to hear how Samson would compare Dane Warp to Tyler Emmert, as I believe samson was Emmert's coach at Helena Capital.

Or even Samson's own son, who played for the Griz before transferring away.

Kyle Samson and dane warp are about as different as you can get. Kyle played at about 5'7 and was more of an option qb and athletic scrambler. I don't believe kyle was recruited to um to play qb, but was forced to due to injuries

I agree they are/were different QB's.

Kyle Samson was an NAIA All-American quarterback for msu-Northern. (Emmert was a 4-time All-American) Kyle is now the new football coach at Flathead HS.

That's funny, because whenever we'd have friends or relatives visiting from out town, they'd complain that the trains woke em up all night long and I'd be like, "What trains?" After growing up in Chester, I am railroad deaf. Currently live just down the street from some tracks, don't even notice the damn trains. Just part of the background noise.

Bar is probably The Grand or the Vets Club. Watched the Griz beat Furman in the NC at the Vets Club...good times! I also remember me and my buddy attending a couple fantasy baseball drafts at the Vets Club with some older guys from around town, including a couple of our teachers. We were still in high school, mind you, and playing for money. Probably illegal as hell, but we weren't complaining! ;)

They make it sound like he lives in the middle of nowhere. Wait, never mind.

I spent two of the longest weeks of my life hauling grain. The work was ok, but otherwise I felt like I was in North Dakota. There was some cool Archaeological Site, but otherwise, the only thing people did was go to bars or go watch the local sports. Thus Mr Warp has less distractions and good local fan club cheering for his success.

I haven't watched Havre High play football. So just from watching the highlights he looks pretty good though it appears he tends to put the ball behind his receivers rather than in front of them. If football is what he wants then I hope he gets a shot at playing in college.

However, I did see him play Bball at the State A tournament last year and he is very impressive on the court. He is a natural and I wouldn't be surprised to see him going that route into college. Either way I hope he can pursue his goals, have fun, and get a free ride to a degree somewhere. Good luck young man!
