Black Uniforms

So I think we should ditch the black uniforms! I’m sure there is some stat to be found, but it sure seems when we have worn black uniforms we tend to not perform well. Case in point the Davis game.
I heard Lane Kiffin on the DP show the other day and he lets his players pick uniform combinations. He feels if players feel they look good, they feel more confident and play harder. I can certainly see that.
I know we don’t have a large combination of uniforms etc. Do we know if coach lets our guys pick combinations?
Did the team pick the black uniforms for the Davis game? Do they like them??
I would have been happy with an all burgundy/ maroon combo! Maybe even same color helmet that we have seen before.
Speaking of helmets…. They helmets seem more grey this this like Washington states. I liked the more shiny silver look.

Not a fan of the black uni's in their current version and certainly agree that the glossy siver helmet is much better looking then the matte version... just my two cents worth....
 
The “Montana” script needs to be larger, and they need name plates. other than that, they are pretty sweet as an alternate uniform.
 
agree with OP. i like the looks, but feel like most of the time the griz play poorly (even though we are 3-1 or whatever) when they wear them.

Anyone remember Brian Ah Yat was injured, I think at Wyoming, and the Griz decided that they could no loonger wear silver pants?
This silly crap is nothing new.

i am probably tripping, yes, but i recall them not playing great against ferris state or furman (thanks junior). i am trying to recall the other game they wore them last year (was there another?). i'm probably wrong. i don't know much about black uniforms, and i've never worn one, so ..... grain of salt and stuff.

Debuted vs. Ferris (definitely the worst game aside from the recent Davis game).
Brought back for our curb stomping of #7 Sac State.
Worn for the Quarters where we beat #7 Furman (We beat a great team and went to the semis, not sure I'd call that underperforming).
Worn for current #14 Missouri State this year.
And finally the Davis disaster.

4-1 with 3 of those wins against teams ranked in or near the top 10. I dunno, that's not terrible.

I'll take our current black uniforms every day over the halloween uniforms we debuted against the Cats back in 2010...
