Totally agree. Signature wins and "defining moments" only add up to one more"W" in the win column. They can also be easily neutralized by a loss to any other team the next Saturday.PlayerRep said:SloStang said:Making Cal Poly's road win against SDSU look even more impressive. Since losing to Cal Poly SDSU has a 52-14 win over then #8 Western Illinois and a 19-17 road win over #1 NDSU. That is our signature win.
What do you consider your signature win this season? With St Francis win yesterday they became the only team the Griz have beat with a winning record. UNI is now 2-4.
I consider UM's one point loss to CP, when UM had so many chances to win (from the O, D, or special teams) to be the signature "win". Ha. I also don't believe in signature wins. I think the concept is generally silly, and something that talking heads have made up to give them something to talk about. You can only beat the teams you play. UM didn't beat CP. That is the only glitch in the season so far.
Griz are a good team that havent made many mistakes this year.
