BIZON lose

Making Cal Poly's road win against SDSU look even more impressive. Since losing to Cal Poly SDSU has a 52-14 win over then #8 Western Illinois and a 19-17 road win over #1 NDSU. That is our signature win.

What do you consider your signature win this season? With St Francis win yesterday they became the only team the Griz have beat with a winning record. UNI is now 2-4.

I consider UM's one point loss to CP, when UM had so many chances to win (from the O, D, or special teams) to be the signature "win". Ha. I also don't believe in signature wins. I think the concept is generally silly, and something that talking heads have made up to give them something to talk about. You can only beat the teams you play. UM didn't beat CP. That is the only glitch in the season so far.
Totally agree. Signature wins and "defining moments" only add up to one more"W" in the win column. They can also be easily neutralized by a loss to any other team the next Saturday.

Griz are a good team that havent made many mistakes this year.

I don't always agree with PR, but when I do, I fu*kin' agree. You play who you play.

If I didn't respect Slostang so much as a poster (which I do, as he obviously pays attention to FCS football and is generally unbiased), I would think he was doing a bit of trolling. Stinky bait too..it will hunt..

Yeah Slo's post had a stench of douchiness I don't normally associate with his posts...maybe it was unintentional.
Yeah, not my best post. It was more starky than I intended. Just a little frustrated about the lack of credit (polls) Cal Poly gets for wins against two very good teams (SDSU and UM). Maybe with SDSU's win against NDSU Cal Poly may get a little more credit.

I agree with your comment about the polls. When I glanced, today, at last week's poll ranking, I was surprised. CP has a high ranking offense. Probably a lot more. I think the SDS win on Saturday will help CP. It certainly should.

I hear ya, but, can you blame the polls though? Seems every year Poly has a big win, they lose the next week or can't keep it together the rest of the season. Do that and I guarantee you'll get more respect in the polls.

SDSU was inside the NDSU 5, I believe 2 other times and could not get the touchdown. This could have been a runaway

You wont get credit because Poly always has its "signature losing streak" which it is about time that starts.
