I know it’s been thrown around that this is the biggest win in program history but after letting this set in the last couple days, I have to believe our 1st natty in ‘95 vs Marshall was a bigger win for historical reasons. Yes, the Wash win is huge right now and we’re the talk of the country, but as history rolls on, I believe natty’s, and especially the 1st vs Marshall on the road, will have more staying power. I doubt we’ll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of our victory over the Huskies.

Agreed, 'bama. Grizzlies play for chippers, not FBS wins.
It's nice and I loved seeing it. But what I really wanna see is the Griz on ESPN every week in December and once in January. Preferably winning the whole way.

I think there is two ways to look at this. For me as a fan, the titles and even some of the semifinal wins (JMU on the road) were bigger.

But from a National standpoint, the UDub game is bigger. As a university we’ll get far, far more benefit, notice and even recruiting benefit from Saturday’s game than our titles put together.

And the bobcats suck.

I have to agree with your assessment. I compare it to NDSU's accomplishments. From a national standpoint, most college football fans don't know NDSU as the team that has won 8 championships in 10 years. They know NDSU as the "giant killers", who have a knack for knocking off FBS opponents. Same thing with App State. When people hear "App State" they think "The team who beat Michigan".

I think that's where Montana is at now. Montana is "The team who beat Washington". That UW win is going to be brought up to recruits now, and we're going to see a lot more benefits from that win coming.

1995 National Championship vs. Marshall at Marshall while Marshall was King if the Hill by far biggset win in Griz history.
