BSC teams had some excellent players, surrounded by a bunch of average players.

Result is average teams.

You just described every FCS school in the nation.

And the lower 25% of FBS.....

The Big Sky will be back again. Known as a passing league with 100 teams it will settle down and be strong again.

Is this the time to ask if we should move up?

I haven't done my homework on this yet, but my guess is that the Big Sky was/is the second strongest conference this year.

How many are playing this weekend?

None. Which conference is better than the Big Sky, not including the MV, based on teams remaining in the playoffs or the season?

The MV has 3 teams remaining in the playoff. 2 Big Sky teams were beaten by the nos. 1 and 2 teams in the MV. Not a big surprise.

Also remaining, 1 each from Patriot, Big South, Colonial, Southland, and Ohio Valley. Correct me if I'm wrong. Are you going to argue that those conferences are stronger than the Big Sky because they still have 1 team in the playoffs, and the Big Sky doesn't?

So which BSC lost to Illinois St.....

Assume you know South Dakota State beat Illinois St. I think NDSU and UNI are probably better than Ill St. I corrected my typo.

I would say weak secondaries in the Big Sky have nothing to do with Kupp's success. He has torched every team he's ever faced, regardless of classification. He has nearly 600 yards receiving against FBS schools alone.

Ok yeah I agree about Kupp....it'll be interesting to see how that guy does at the next level.

IF he actually gets a fair chance to compete. NFL coaching staffs have certain biases/preconceptions about the guys they want playing wide receiver -- and I'm not sure Copp-Kupp fits their formula. They might give him a chance at slot receiver (like Mariani), where he would still do all right. But his strength, IMO, is at wide receiver where he gets open or, if he's not that open, can go up and get the ball against a close defender.

It certainly will be interesting to see what happens.

really....all I asked him was to give his opinion on whom he believes should have started at QB for the Griz this past season based on his statistical analysis....and all he has done is run in circles.....not sure how he baffled me....he never once proved that Brady wasn't the best option....

and even with your "corrected typo" it was still incorrect....UNI was the 4th place MVC team...
