Big sky race getting interesting.

Looking at what games are left to play and conference records it may come down to the last weekend to crown a champ or co-champs. I think it's fair to say it's wide open. I just don't see anyone going undefeated in league.

Yep, I posted in the "Screw Weber" thread...we now control our own destiny to finish 2nd. 4 games left...two of them against Weber & NAU. With a little help from someone we could even be co-champs.

The Griz certainly control their own destiny. Which team stays healthy throughout the season will be a big factor. This years by week is timed pretty well.

If eastern wins at southern Utah on Saturday, I doubt they lose a game at all in conference. Their last three games are Weber (home after a bye), North Dakota (road) Portland State (home). Griz Sure have looked good lately, definitely a playoff team, if you win out, have an outside shot at the eight seed

As much as I would love to win the conference, if we win out and end up 2nd to Eastern, that would be pretty sweet, too.

Hopefully EWU takes a tumble at some point, though. Haha

Agreed 100%. About a 40% chance you lose to SUU, and maybe 25% chance to Weber (depending on their QB situation). A 9-2 Griz team most likely gets a seed.

I would hope a 9-2 Griz team would get the at-large bid, IF it all goes our way. I still think EWU will stumble, I hope we don't.

If we finish 9-2 it's not a question of getting a bid, but rather if we get a seed or not.

I hope the Griz can pull off 9-2, but it will be damn tough. Weber and the Cats on the road. NAU will be tough at Wa Griz and maybe the toughest remaining game. If Stitt can coach this team to 9-2 he will likely be here until he punches his ticket elsewhere. His recruiting is stellar, Champions Center will only help that cause. Freshman QB - future could be bright

Future IS bright, as long as they (administration) don't fucking derail it again.

While it would be nice to be co-champs with EWU at 7-1, they would still technically be the conference champs. It may actually help us more with seeding if EWU goes to 8-0 and we stayed at 7-1. But who knows, its probably a very minor difference. I agree we most likely lose one more of our games. 8-3/6-2 still looks pretty good to me in the grand scheme of things.
