Big Sky on ROOT NW/RM

Why did Root get the contract, if they are not going to show the games or at least all of it? I live in Colorado, so I get Root RM. You may not have these issues with Root NW. I sent the below emial to them:

"If your going to brag that you now have big sky games, PLEASE SHOW THE GAMES!! You didn't show the EWU/Montana ST game last week on RM and this week you are JIP the N.Colorado/Monatana game. If you can't show the entire games, dont sign the contract and let some other network have the games."

Am I missing something?

I have both Root RM and Root NW through Dish in North Central Montana. Root NW showed the EWU-MSU Game, but I think Root RM was showing baseball instead.

What sucks for some of us is not being able to watch games streamed on BigSkyTv. Use to be awesome, and the streaming I have paid for to watch Griz and Cat games this year is pathetic.

Nice, they buy the rights, and then make it impossible to watch on the internet and then they don't show it in many regions! The Big Sky needs to rethink the contract, they are limiting the audience.

I think it was specifically ROOT Sports NW that signed the contract with the Big Sky. So if that's the case, then I can see where ROOT Sports RM wouldn't need to show Big Sky games unless it involves a team from that region (i.e. N. Colorado). Just because ROOT Sports NW signed the contract doesn't mean the others have to show those games too. That'd be like Root Sports Pittsburgh having to air big sky games just because their NW affiliate signed the contract.

There weren't any teams in the ROOT Sports RM region last weekend for them to air the game, so I can see that being the reason they didn't show the MSU-EWU game. With this week's ROOT Sports game showing the Griz and with Northern Colorado being from the RM region, that's probably why ROOT Sports RM is picking up the game. It sucks for fans in the RM region that won't get every game, but unfortunately that's just how the market/business plan runs.

I can see that, but they still are not showing the entire game. JIP after the first game this weekend. Can't these moron's figure out that football games last longer than 3 hours? Maybe when they negotiate the contract, they should figure out the times more accurately. Hell, most of the time, nothing is even broadcasting on this channel.

Living in the home-base area of Root Sports NW I am very fortunate to receive all of their telecasts. For those living in areas unable to receive a telecast it is imperative that an EFFECTIVE and RELIABLE streaming source made made available,,,,EOS.

I am guessing we get the game this weekend in Colorado because Northern Colorado is playing. I couldn't believe my eyes when I went to put the EW/MSU shoot out on and found the pathetic Rockies playing instead.

ROOT signing the BSC contract had nothing to do with football.

It had EVERYTHING to do with ensuring that small cable stations in places like Montana, Oregon and Idaho continued carrying the station so it could be sold to the Seattle Mariners.

If you believe they care at ALL about the BSC, you're off your rocker.

Probably discussed long ago, but do I understand you right that BS TV is no longer an option?

Not for this weekend, or any games that will be on Root
