Weber State goes to Portland State tonight for the first BSC game.

They say that RPI is the most valid right between non-conference and conference schedules. After conference starts, strong conferences make their teams look better, while weak conferences make their teams look worse.

One of the reasons I think the Griz and Lady Griz would benefit the most if the Football team moves up to 1A and into the WAC or MWC is because of the RPI rating, which is used by the NCAA in seeding. Lady Griz, if they were in the WAC or MWC, would have recieved a higher seed than #12, but the Big Sky Conference hurt the Lady Griz seeding. Same goes for Eastern Washington last year. If EWU was in the WAC and won it with the same record, would have recieved a higher seed.
