Best part of spring scrimmage

Pflug is the QB of the future for sure. Gus is the QB going into fall camp. Chalich is probably the #2, he made some odd decisions today.. needs to get comfortable in this offense. Simis looks like he has potential, but he's definitely buried with too many QBs. He might be the best runner of the group right now. Prater won't be a QB at UM.
Prater > Chalich

I disagree. Prater only knows one speed throwing the ball, fastballs. His running in the zone/read is slow and suspect. Chalich didn't look great today, but he really didn't get much opportunity to throw the ball.. I felt like the offense was a lot more run oriented when he was in vs when Gus and Simis were in, so today wasn't a great day to judge how he'd run the offense. I think when fall camp breaks it'll be Gus, Chalich, Simis and everyone else.

Hmmmmm not what I saw to be honest. I saw the same passing and running opportunities that the others had, except Chalich's inability to make a quick decision (running or passing) led to 3-4 different 3 and outs. It was pretty awful....really no other way to say it. I'm sure he will bounce back and a guy can't ne judged on one performance for sure.

Again, I agree with hooked. Tough outing for Chalich… but I think he will still continue to push Gus. As for Prater's mobility, he's the only QB that hasn't been sacked in any of the three spring games… also, per the Missoulian stat sheets he has 2 rushes for 9 yards… don't know how you are formulating your opinions, but they seem to lack any facts or knowledge of football in general.

Also Mr titleist… he didn't throw a TD either… who made you a moderator? :thumb:
Just like little guy football you have to play everyone..... you can't sit the unathletic guys on the bench where they belong until highschool...................... :coffee:

Those numbers are very inaccurate… Prater didn't even throw a pick!?!? Who do they give these reporting jobs to anyways?

Sidenote…

QB depth chart should be Gus, Prater, Simis, Pflug, Chalich… in that order with a lot of room between each. Were you some of you guys even there today? No wonder I stay off the internet… :thumb:

I would second this.

You guys do realize that Pflug threw an INT in the scrimmage, right? Not only that, but he stared down his open receiver, so much so that rolling underneath coverage tipped the ball in the air and the trailing DB intercepted the tip behind the intended receiver.

But yes, Pflug in the future is going to be big-time.

Prater definitely has a cannon for an arm -- which is exactly the reason he overthrew three would-be touchdown passes. He needs to learn "touch," or his receivers are never going to catch his bullet, albeit pretty accurate, passes. Overall, I found the scrimmage to be entertaining, but certainly not an event that confirmed to me how good the Griz are or aren't going to be in the fall of 2015. I WAS thrilled to see Ellis Henderson back, and at peak performance. Beyond that, the scrimmage was pretty much what essentially all spring games I've been to turn out to be: fun, but not very informative.
