Best Media Source in Montana for Griz Football

Combination of Skyline Sports (pay site), and 406MTSports, I prefer the latter overall because their coverage of Montana sport is general is awesome especially the NAIA schools, and the high schools.

And I enjoy Amie Just's writing a lot also. Probably the most upbeat good young reporter at the Missoulian in many years, plus she is not afraid to stand up against he boss for what she thinks is right. She's young, but is only going to get better.

Yeah Skyline isn't terrible i'll admit, but i'd rather read about Griz and Montana High school stuff. I could really care less what Sac State's coach has to say. I'd say its a safe bet to say most of the diehard Big Sky fans reside in Montana. I've lived in a state where there is a big sky school that is not one of the Montana schools and no one really cares much about the team, including alumni.

Skyline hands down. I really don't think there's anyone else close to what they've been doing lately

Amie just has written much more about the Griz since this summer. Both 406MTSports and Skyline give a good overall view. Think of it in terms of the left and the right. Neither is correct, and the truth falls in the middle, but you need to know both sides to learn the whole story.

I don't disagree. Skyline focuses more on the U of M, MSU, and the Big Sky overall while 406 is more locally focused..like you said about covering high school & NAIA

Edit: I'll add that 406 is owned by Lee Enterprises/the Missoulian so that by itself knocks them down a notch for me

Me too - Oregon. Go to games, and there was more Montana fans there than local.

Exactly, and I'd like to follow what goes on with the high schools more. My main source is my grandfather currently haha.

Her stuff is way too quote and stat heavy. If I wanted that I’d listen to the press conference or go to the ESPN box score. Needs to learn to tell the story more than regurgitate facts.

It’s not bad but it’s not great either. Hopefully she grows in this fashion. Just my :twocents: .

I don't see how her story with Anderson, Reynolds, and Mariani could get any better. Each to his own, but I would say it's only 1 cent worth.

Her story? It came from a Gazette writer

Can anybody tell me in Amie has broke a story this year? She’s the beat reporter for the only news site in town not to report Hauck is the next coach.
