Chase Reynolds spoke very well, and talked of growing up and being an athlete in a small town. I was very impressed with how he spoke. His dad, a great guy, was banged up in a truck accident a year or so ago, but was in attendance and seemed to be pretty good to me.
Mike Montgomery spoke very well and was funny. Seems like a great guy. I had never been around him before.
All the great Griz hoops coaches were there, except Tinkle, who tried but couldn't do it. An amazing group. Travis was there too.
As I said earlier, Matt Martin was there was Rapid City SD where he runs an insurance agency. HIs wife seemed awesome, as were his 2 kids.
The entire team and Krsyko were there. Larry's son Cam, who played at Dartmouth, was there.
Many Native American former Griz were there, and got introduced at halftime. Tuff Harris, who lives in Billings. Mike Chavez for his 20025-06 hoops team that beat Nevada in the NCAA tourney. He seemed to be going very well. Lives in Billings. With his wife.
The prior night, I ended up downstairs at Red's with the 87/88 Lady Griz team, dragged by my good friend, Jean McNulty-King. She is a piece of work. Had a special shot with the tam down there. Had never been in that totally cool room in the basement. The owner brought us down there. Jean has gone from representing like 50 players as their agents, to well over 200. She let a player-client revamp of social media. Lots of work now.
Lisa Tinkle was there with her 87/88 team. We know her pretty well because she used to babysit our older kids where she played for CMR. Joslyn moved to Asst coach at UNLV in the late spring to coach with a former Stanford teammate. Tres is playing in Turkey for the 2d year. Was in Istanbul last year, but in an interior smaller place this year. Recently married. Elle is living in Japan now with her husband who plays professionally. Her guy played for Gonzaga after playing football and getting hurt at a big Texas school. Asked Few if he could walk on. Did, and got a scholarship the 2 following years.
As you know, Junior Bergen raised the flag for the game on Saturday. Colt Anderson and his wife and parents, and Beau, were around and out and about. Dalton Sneed comes back to alot of Griz games, as do many other former players.
