Baldwin, Souers, or Delaney for coach of the year?

I'm assuming with the all-conference teams announced we'll shortly hear the voting for coach of the year as well. It'll be interesting to see who gets this award, the homerism in me sees Delaney as the front runner for the award because of how he was able to turn things around so well. However Baldwin secured the first outright championship that I recall in quite some time, all while practically replacing most of his weapons on offense save his starting QB. And Souers, back in the playoffs again and 2nd in the conference, he deserves a mention or NAU fans and players will start whining on twitter, ha.

It'll be interesting to see the results, I could see all three easily winning, maybe even SUU's coach as well.

it will be announced tomorrow. Beau will win it...

Totally agree. One doesn't just round up that bunch of rag tags to win a BSC Championship without at least a bit of skill.

delaney will win, just because nobody thought he could lead the griz to such a good record. plus, he is old, and they will honor him for living to his age despite his profession.

On Mick's radio show tonight he mentioned that he spoke to Baldwin today and congratulated him on the coach of the year award. Guess the cat is out of the bag a day early.

I do think this would be a tough choice and you should throw Lamb of SUU into the mix as well.

He also gave a shout out to JJ and Adams for making him and Baldwin look like good coaches.

I was hoping Mick would get it but undefeated in conference is hard to argue with.

None....Ed Lamb deserves it. He takes a team predicted to take 9th to the FCS playoffs, including a FBS win. SUU's first playoff birth....he won't win, but he should.

Pretty easy choice: Baldwin of EWU. 8-0 in BSC and an FBS win!!

No brainer in my book too. Baldwin by a landslide. I appreciate what the griz have done, but Baldwin is the best coach in the Big Sky year in and year out. He plays to the strength of his team and is innovative and makes on the fly adjustments better than anyone else. He also has no fear. He will go for it on 4th down all the time. His team plays with no fear as well.

With Cheney being the hub of the Intermountain Meth Triangle (IMT), I think this is a no-brainer. Baldwin is heavily mobbed-up and they want their boy to look good. This one is a fait accompli.

Baldwin did a great job for sure. However, nobody overcame more adversity than MD. He got the team turned around and winning the tough games. He is pretty special!

I think the emotion vote goes to MD. But man, did anyone see SUU coming? Their coach deserves major props for that.

All 3 would be deserving, but Baldwin deserves the award. His team dominated the conference this year similar to Hauck when he would go 8-0, 9-0 in conference play and win the award. Delaney is 2nd, but its shouldnt be that close.

With all the doubters on this board, would Delaney even win UM head coach of the year even if UM was 12-0?

Tell you what, if Mick goes 12-0, he will get my vote.
