Back to Back Big Sky Champs!

TDC sounded very proud, relieved, and satisfied in his post game interview.
On to the games that really matter.
GO GRIZ!

This! the hell with being inconsistent, the hell with the BSC being weak or weaker than previous year, the hell with missing a great post player, the hell with wondering why certain players (best defender in conf!) gets so many minutes, the team is regular season CHAMPS! Play-in game? come on BSC has NEVER been in play in game and NEVER will be...Go Griz capture tourney in Boise and silence some of these nay-sayers! & then a huge upset in the dance. A thank-you to the seniors, you have given many great moments, and thank-you coaches, a job well done and now continue....

Sad ... but basically the absolute truth. Just ask Campbell, Belmont, and Loyola-Chicago.

And Mike Daum's South Dakota State.

Don't get too carried away with this back-to-back! stuff, because it only guarantees one thing: A sure ticket the NIT.

But the Big Sky tournament is going to be brutal: First Northern Arizona, a young team coming of age; then either Portland State, which has beaten us twice, or Weber, the pre-season favorite; and finally Northern Colorado. I don't think the Northern Colorado bracket is nearly as daunting.

Down Akoh, these are three treacherous three games, and if we lose, the "back-to-back!" chants will seems hollow indeed. Any more than winning 73 regular-season games to set an NBA record meant anything when the Warriors lost to the Cavs in the championship game. That was utterly deflating, believe me.

Don’t count out Eastern (who won at Weber yesterday)...Davison May return Thursday and if he does, Eastern can be sneaky good...

Regardless, the Griz are the team to beat and congrats on the conference title.

I like the way the bracket sets up for us. stick a fork in nau and weebs, they are done. Over the last 10 games, which is roughly a month, nau went 3-7 and weebs went 4-6. psu and nc are both 7-3, psu on Friday will be a tough game but it would be loaded for revenge. nc is going to have their hands full with ewoo, and while they went 6-4, down the stretch they logged some impressive W's. The Thursday schedule is wacked, the #1 seed and the team that brings the most eyeballs is playing at noon while the prime time game goes to ewoo and the cats? Thats the bsc in a nutshell.

Crazy how much control over the bracket Eastern had. They may have screwed themselves by beating Weebs. Sure they get a lesser team who has to play earlier in the week, but they will get less than 24hrs rest between their game and semifinal. But that side of the bracket has only 2 other good teams, and the others are the shits. Our side gets more rest but has better overall teams. Not sure which I’d prefer if I were Eastern

That side of the bracket is hot garbage. If it’s anyone by Ewu and NCU in the semi then I will be shocked. Bozeman State is the next best team on that side. PSU is one of the hottest in the league right now, Weber is good but very inconsistent. NAU and Sac are non factors and don’t deserve to be here.

The rest sucks for EWU but I’d rather them play MSU than PSU or Weber in the qtrs...
