Back to Back 30 point games

What's really amazing when looking at his ranking in statistics is he wasn't playing a whole lot at the beginning of the year.

Kamarr Davis was pretty impressive as a JC player. Especially his last year here... watching the NCAA tournament game against #1 seed Washington, he was the best player on the court that game. He led both teams in scoring and rebounding (24 points 11 rebounds).

Matt Williams, Delvon Anderson, David Bell, Kevin Kearney all have to be right up there at the top for JC talent too.

Williams' senior year here was probably the best year I've ever seen by a JC player. 19 points 10 rebounds a game (what he averaged) is impressive...especially for a guy who was probably about 6'6" (listed at 6'7").

Anyone know if there's a good place to get the statistics for the players who played before 1996? It'd be interested to take a look at the stats for Kearney and Anderson.

Matt Williams was really good (especially his second year), I still consider Kearney the best. Anderson was also very good. But, naturally, I am comparing what AJ has doen so far versus Williams, Kearney, and Anderson. If AJ keeps on improving like most good JC recruits have done, we are in for a show the rest of this year and next year.

Couldnt agree more!!!!

Going to do some research... But possible back to back 30 canidates are.

Larry K. (ave 22.2 in 85-86) & (21.1 in 84-85)
Sugar Ray (Ave 24.2 in 77-78)
Bob Cope (ave 22.6 in 49-50)

But I'm sure Shannon Cate would be the last 30/30.

TOP UM SCORING GAMES OF ALL TIME:
40 Bob Cope 1949 against Gonzaga
40 M.R. Richardson 1976 vs MSU
37 John "Doc" Holliday 1966 vs Portland State
35 Krysko 1985 vs NAU

So AJ's 32 & 31 are in rarified UM air.

I took a look at the 85-86 yearbook and Krykos 35 was his only 30 point game of the year. He had a better year in 85-86.. but dont have that book.

Wasn't Lee Johnson, the center in 1970s, a Juco?

If so, he might be in the running for the best. Those of you who remember him will recall that he was, what, 6-10 and a terrific talent who put up great numbers. Jim Brandenburg brought him in. Problem was, he had some academic problems, or some problems with transferring credits, I can't remember which. Anyway, the Griz had a really good record that year, and ended up having to forfeit most of their games. Anyone know what ever happened to Johnson?

If my memory is serving me right, I believe Lee Johnson played for the Houston Rockets. Not sure how long though.
