Here is the deal. This is for local (Western Mt) kids 100% goes to them. No one gets a cut. Every penny raised today goes to buy $50 gift cards for kids that are in a tough spot for one reason or another. The kids are actually taken out in (supervised) small groups with their gift cards the week before Christmas and have a blast shopping. 50 bucks is a lot for a child that has very little. They are encouraged to purchase something for themselves but more often buy something for their brothers, sisters or parents. I remember a few years back a little 8 year old boy wanted to buy new sheets. He said he never had fresh clean sheets before. UGH......Sorry, have a soft spot for kids. This is what we have to remember, for whatever reason these kids are in need, it's not their fault. Let's spread a little Griz Christmas cheer.
