Athlon Sports - Lindy: Big Sky Predictions

Hey guys, thanks for all the nice words. The Big Sky is a great conference and I am excited to see the season get closer and closer to beginning. Don't hesitate ever to contact me either on here or via email with any links, comments, etc!

On the magazine predictions the two that really stand out to be a bit boggling are UNC as 3 on one (way too high) and Eastern Washington at 7 (way too low)... but agreed that overall 3-7 will be interesting.

Weber State and Montana are very good programs, and getting better. I cannot wait to see 2 years of Lilliard/Cherry match ups.

Then again, if anything can take away from that matchup, it would be BSC referees. I beg, and plead to BSC referees........"Please let these 2 play, and limit the whistle blowing!"

Why do I not have faith that BSC referees will let them play?
As much as I liked watching that kid from Northern Colorado score from outside and in, it seems every time someone even looked at him they were called for a foul...until the NCAA tourney, then things went awry....At any rate, I hope the conference is better from top to bottom and think UM has a better chance to win it this year. Cherry and Kareem are just now hitting their stride..the reaL challenge will be to Selvig who has yet to show what we are told he can do....if he does, UM will play in March, especially since Tinks indicates a faster game..maybe Duquesne, a middle of the pack team back East showed the Griz how basketball is played today...

I understand what you are getting at with Selvig. However, he has shown what he can do. He just needs to do it most every game. I think our rebounding will be fine with, especially when we have good rebounding swing men. I have a very good feeling Hutch, Reeder, and Ward will be solid rebounders. My concerns with them are shotblocking (I think Reader can be good), and consistent inside scoring.
