Makes Graham look like a jackass, but it is a good move for him. I don't think he ever had a chance at Pittsburgh. Not because he's not a good coach, but because boosters and fans already had a strike against him because he's not a "Pitt guy"
 
I'm an ASU fan, and I don't like this hire. They could have hired Joe Glenn, if they had any brains. He lives in the Phoenix area!

Hey Growler, my thought was that ASU should've done what Ohio St did...have an assistant be interim for the next season and hope for a blockbuster hire next season. I think this is a "safe" hire and not fantastic. One thing is that his teams are disciplined as per the penalty yards. Keep the OC though! Now, I'm sure this will be sent out of the forum but had to get my 2 cents in.
 
June Jones was the first guy they brought in, and nearly had him inked on paper, then the ASU boosters pitched a fit and ran him out of contention... so this is what they get. Good luck with continued mediocrity, ASU.

Whats Osweiler should be worried about is ASU's poor handling of a new hire is scaring off Davonte Neal from local Chaparral HS (amongst other recruits) who seemed to be a lock to give his commitment to Erickson. Would be a nice target for Osweiler considering he is one of the top ATH/WR prospects in the nation.
