I will try to post articles from one of our local papers when I think about it for the Griz fans:

From the last link...
Once again the committee snubbed the No. 6-ranked Techsters by giving them a five-seed and banishing them to Missoula, Mont.

Ouch...It's not like we don't have running water....or do we??

LOL
I think it was referring to sites that were much closer to home for us. LSU is hosting first and second rounds in our own state. That would have been a great rematch of last year's Sweet Sixteen. In that game we led by 17 points, but due to a depleted bench, we gave out and lost the game by 3. We would have packed the LSU arena.

The Techster fans travel well, when it is under 6 hours away. Further than that, we usually have just a handful.

I'm thinkin' Missoula couldn't be more than six hours away. Your best bet would be Delta through Salt Lake. :D

Personally, I was thinking a dream tournament up here in Missoula would have included Baylor (also a four seed from the Big XII) instead of Texas Tech. Since the head coach at Baylor is Kim Mulkey-Robertson (probably the best women's basketball player in La Tech history and a former La Tech assistant) you would have had more reason to look past our Lady Griz in the first round.

Yes, there are still a lot of hard feelings on both sides regarding the Kim Mulkey Robertson mess. Fact is that it worked out best for both sides. I am very surprised that the committee hasn't put us against each other yet. I think it will be most difficult on Kim, since she had been at Tech in some capacity since high school before going to Baylor.
