good article....and it also made me think back to the days when he couldn't even start for us!!!!!!

Man we had some stellar corners not too long ago.

Good find. And absolutely crazy that there isn't a white at corner on the two deep of any NFL roster.

Right..like not one has broken the mold..its crazy...we even have a black punter lol!

I find that egriz has a similar prejudice against former white cornerbacks posting on the board.

which cornerback would that be, my native friend?

The tribal member and MT Ind. Ath. Hall of Fame one who happens to have more Irish/Welsh blood than Sioux blood. From the MIAHF press release: "A member of the Assiniboine & Sioux Tribe (Fort Peck), PR grew up in a two-room shack devoid of electricity, running water, indoor plumbing or telephone."

Lisowski had the unfortunate timing of being at Montana at the same time as the best corner ever to come out of Montana was playing. Literally ANY other time, before or after, he'd have probably been a 4-year starter and might have had a better chance of sticking in the NFL. Wouldn't we love to have him out there right now? :thumb: :thumb:

What a great bit of writing! Love that they point out that ethnic background on any sports team is just an excuse for jokes and camaraderie.

Roots for the most part, although Frank and Donny both played some.

Wasn't it Keith Thompson? Or was he earlier?

Keith Thompson was a senior in 2009. Roots played 2010 and 2011

Not sure Thompson was really ever a starter either. We had Andrew Swink as well. Amazing how many quality CBs we had in the Hauck years.
