Are their any FCS fantasy football leagues???

A while back I asked Egriz if therewas an interest in some sort of FCS fantasy or BigSky fantasy league. There was none, which was too bad because I was going to create it and host it on the web.

The problem here is that it costs money and takes time to program. Certainly, I would not be able to complete the program for this years teams. I would likely be able to start by the 2013-2014 season. Also, it costs money to put this on the web, and I would need to do research on just how much. I assume the cost would be less than 10 dollars per season, which would pay for server space and nothing else.

Edit: Note, I would have to pay for server space in the off-season too.

If there really is an interest, how about listing features that you would like in the the FCS Fantasy football league.

I'd be interested but I think you'd have to find away to limit the number of FCS teams. With a 120 as opposed to 32 in fantasy football, there would be a lot more superstar teams. Maybe BSC + a couple others? Who knows, just a thought.

Also, you should bug Chris about this. If he invested in it and put it up on one of his existing websites he would probably get a ton of hits plus he already has the server space. May be a benefit for both of you. Shark Tank.

So why does there have to be a website???

In the old days we did it off other reliable website for stats, and if there was a scoring error that could be seen on video, then the scores were adjusted. (this was rare)

Yes a website would be nice... but one could easily use the stats from ESPN... espesially if it was a mostly offence only league.

:D

I would say limited to 16 teams and use the BSC, Southern and the CAA (31 teams)
Rosters could be 15 players:
Start:
1 QB
2 RB
3 WR/TE
1 Extra RB/WR or TE

1 D
1 Kicker
1 Spec Team (Returns)

We could just make a thread where we compare stats each week, that's fine with me and much simpler. I will think more about the automated program, but you're right, it's not needed.

Any Griz fans here still interested in fantasy game that involves FCS, I have one open for this upcoming season.

Pick 8 teams - 4 from FBS, 4 from FCS, and you are good to go! It is free, or you can get involved in the money side. It is my 4th year doing this FBS/FCS combo game, it is always a good time.

Pleased to see that my login still works from our '04 and '08 playoff rivalry days...and enjoyed climbing Mt Sentinel this summer...

edit - Forgot to add, please beat App State, thank you.
