Are our future quarterbacks built for our offense?

We don't even know what the offense will really look like next season. If it's the same then I think both Gus and Simis are good fits I their own way. Could become a Prukop v Bleskin kind of situation like the Cats had this off-season. However I think Kfense and Gragg lean to a QB that has better pocket presence and awareness than a QB that is mobile. Which could slightly tip in favor of Gustafson for now.

With any luck at all, they won't be making the decision!

Same offense that scored 37 ppg last year, people. How many times does it need to be said?

And every defensive coordinator who has watch last year's and this year's indistinguishable models of that offense has had little trouble shutting it down. It shouldn't surprise anyone that other coaching staffs do what we wish this coaching staff would do.

Yup, those DC's really shut down the UM offense in 2013. UM was only 15th in the nation in Total Offense and 14th in the nation in Scoring (38 points per game).

Was referring to this year's offense, which is the same as last year's offense, which they all have another crack at stopping this year and are succeeding. Just pointing out the extensive library opposing DC's have on this model of offense. It's not all execution, or lack thereof. If the reported 15 tackles for loss in one game is true of the UND game, you think the DC knew what was coming? Sheesh!

As for personnel differences, I always saw where the Griz's "next man up" were better than other teams', which is a hallmark of long running success. So you saying that's not the case, at least on offense, any more?

I get a kick out of the posters who defend this ridiculous offense. I have watching football for many years, and have watched every game the Griz have played this season. We have the most predictable offense I have seen in college. You want to see offenses which are not predictable? Watch a few EWU or MSU games!

I have said it before on here, but will give reasons why our offense is so predictable. Our running game is plain vanilla. Our O-line only use zone blocking schemes, and do not pull or trap. This makes it very easy for defenses to run-blitz gaps and throw us for losses. If you saw the North Dakota game, you get the picture. Our passing game is worse than plain vanilla. Few multiple sets. Our routes are basically passing 101 high school routes. No imagination. No WR pick plays. No drag routes. No over loading zones. Too much horizontal passing plays with little productivity.

I like Gragg as an O-line coach, but he is out of his leauge as an O-coordinator. Blocking D-linemen in the NFL does not make one qualified to design an offense. As for the other guy, he coached at a Div. II school, and his offensive play designs look more like a high school coach to me.

As an expert EGrizer coach and very smart all around fan this I know.

Let Jordy run, period.
Throw in a QB sneak.
Lets sneak in a no huddle offense every now and then.
Call three pass plays in a row. Quick no huddle
Call three run plays in a row. Quick no huddle
Fake a field goal try. Quick don't give it away by calling a time out!
Fake a punt. Quick, do not call a time out before the play!
Toss the ball to Jordy by a running back or WR.
Screen plays can't work because the DL gets to Jordy quickly....do it anyway.
Put a backup QB in for a special one time slick play.

After all the above fails continue with our three downs and punt game plan!
Most know after reading my expert advice ..... Maybe old Delaney isn't such a bad coach after all.

Allweather,

Willy seems to be the up and coming QB for the Griz. I vote for Pflug also. It is 100 percent so it is a done deal!
