Appreciate what the Griz are doing (Thankful for Playoff run....)

On the way over to the game last week was listening to the radio show when in an Interview coach Hauck said something like he thought the 2007 team was the best team in school history (if I heard that correctly) or one of the greatest. They were one and done in the playoffs and that team had a great chance to go all the way.
I remember being at that game against Wofford and you have to tip your cap to the other side on a job well done. Wofford executed their plan and got out of dodge with a "W". I felt like we had a post season run taken away. Everyone knew that team was loaded and capable for the Griz, but you can never take anything for granted.

Fast forward to 2023... Griz lose on the road at NAU and things look bleak. I think most knew the Griz were talented and quite capable this year, it just wasn't coming together.
Now we are whipping people, the candy ass cats fell apart, and we have been gifted quite a run and FUN times! Appreciate what is happening Griz fans,
R.T.D. before your very eyes. Thank you, players and coaches, for providing a December to Remember.

Let's go put one on the SoCon, and be thankful for another shot at a deep playoff run!

Ironic that Wofford knocked us out in 2007 and this year Furman might have been seeded #2 and we would have been going there had they not lost to Wofford in the last game of the regular season. I suspect we would have still been the #2 seed, but we'll never know.

I was at the game, and will NEVER FORGET the immense frustration when Wofford had the ball. Griz defense just could not get off the damn field.

The dreaded announcer jinx in those Wofford highlights…Grady Bennett refers to Carp as “Mr. Automatic” when he is kicking the field goal in the first quarter.

I have been watching Griz FB for 42 years and I can say this is one of the most exciting and fun seasons (post NAU) of them all. The week after that game I was down like 90% of the fans and I honestly l thought we would beat only Northern Colorado and lose the rest. Since that week I have been happily stuffing crow down my throat (it's not bad with Sriracha sauce) every week and the excitement has been building to a point that I am obsessed with re-watching the Brawl, the Idaho game and now, Delaware.
If we don't make it to Frisco I will be disappointed but if that's the case I will at least have had a great time the past few months. In hind sight it was great to start the season picked to finish 6th in the Big Sky. If the Griz were preseason Big Sky Champs and FCS #2 or #3 then they would only be meeting expectations right now. They have exceeded all of my expectations and then some!
Go Griz!

5 Griz players in that game made it to the NFL 3 of them Pro Bowlers including the guy who missed the game winning FG. Mariani, Anderson and Carpenter were all Pro Bowlers in the NFL. That was without a doubt the most talented Griz team ever and they didn’t even make the semifinals
