App will beat you fairly easily next weekend. Just putting that out there.

After what I saw today, I think you're right...except for the "easily" part.

 Not even close! This ones gonna be a tight game. Did you watch the Griz game yesterday? Unlike your kittens, we actually have an Oline that can take over a game. Our one suspect position in yesterday's game was the secondary, however, they were down a starter who will be back for APPY.. I expect a knock-down drag-out battle of heavyweight contenders in this division. Might just be an instant classic like our last meeting. I love this match-up!

Griz406, what did you see yesterday that would incline you to think we will get beat? I was at the Griz game, and watched some of the APPY game at the press box, and both teams looked poised to have great seasons. This game could go either way for sure, but what makes you think we will be beat?

I was at the App game yesterday. You are exactly right about being poised to having a great season. App's weakness is its youth; which is also its strength. We got a lesson in what it takes to beat a good FBS football team yesterday. I am sure App's coaches will have a lot of teaching to do this week. We'll see what our guys learned come Saturday.

Overall, I was impressed with App's D. Our linebackers are beasts (especially Grier & Kimbrough) & the front 3 or 4 are the real deal too. One of our DBs will be out though, broke his foot yesterday.

On offense, I thought App's O-line was the best I have seen in many years. Our TE is young, but he'll grow into his position quickly. One of our two RBs broke his hand yesterday, so that's a drag. Our receivers looked good, as did our QB.

As to the heat yesterday, it was hotter than hell. My guess it was 95 in the stands, with humidity about 70%; and even hotter on the field. From what I gathered, App had only one or two guys with cramps, despite what others have said. Middleton went down, with what I thought was a cramp at the time, but he broke his foot. I wish it were just a cramp. ECU had more players & it showed. Our first stringers played as well or better than theirs. Our subs, not so much.

I was not impressed with App's special teams. It simply MUST get better than what I saw yesterday.

Poorgriz, shhhhh, you're the kind of Bobcat fan that justifies the the existence of the thousands of douchey Griz fans out there. Spectacular catch by Jones, hopefully get a TD in the last seconds of the half.

Only douchey scat fans come on to another team's messageboard and calls the fans douchey..... Ewww, I smell something..... oh, I guess you must of missed your douche this morning.

Sounds like a mirror image of the Grizzlies.

ECU is a respectable opponent that should beat a good FCS team every time, as they did Saturday. Wouldn't read much into App State's loss.

I was thinking the same thing, except it sounds as though APPY just lost key players from both sides of the ball next week. And I think I read on their board that they also have another starter that is suspended for the UM game. Its an unfortunate turn of events for them, but Im sure they have the depth to overcome the losses.
