Any Rumors of Signees for Next Week

Since when is the Big Sky not D1?
 
Let me make something PERFECTLY clear. Just because I am not hearing rumor/scuttlebutt on the Griz recruiting does not mean it is not going well or even extremely well. It just means I am not hearing things. The Griz are recruiting JC's and they sign late. Their season ends so late (compaired to high school) and JC coaches are notorious for not letting D-1 coaches "bother" their player until after the season it simply takes awhile. Plus Tinkle has a history of trying to keep his recruiting quiet.

Freddy Owens was showing a kid around that was not the Marko guy.........This kid was tall. I did see an unfamiliar face when the bball team was introduced at the scrimmage on Saturday......Anyone know who he is??

I saw no one at the scrimmage who was unfamiliar to me. I wonder if you mean Nick Emerson of C-Falls. Red-shirt walk on?

Just because my evaluation of a guy is that he can hang in the Big Sky, doesn't mean he can. Would you like me to correct my post and say "who may or may not be Big Sky material."

I understand and am with you just seems more quiet than usual. only heard 2 names, definately less than usual. but heck if you didnt post i would have no names so keep sendin whatever you hear over this way. :thumb:

I could be mistaken who I saw at the scrimmage because I was at a distance. (he was not Nick Emerson)..........On the otherhand the guy coach Owens was walking around with (at the UC) was black, and he was about 6'9"-6'10".

I also overheard some of the basketball players saying someone had signed today........Take it for what its worth.
 
I was down on the field and had a chance to visit with Kareem a bit after their introduction. That kid was all smiles still talking about the dance. The whole team was laughing and having a ball, especially Henderson. Can't wait for BBall season. :clap:

After watching the team attitude all basketball season, it is impossible to not like these guys. I found myself watching the bench interactions more than usual. Their attitudes were so positive, and supportive of everyone.

I wouldn't necessarily say that's a knock on us if we can't sign someone that falls into what we're looking for. We've recruited a few jucos now that have not panned out (I realize that's the nature of the game in recruiting, too).

That being said, I would love a James Ennis type player to come in next year. Long, freaky athlete taller than 6'6". It would elevate our team next year, no question.

I am having no luck even getting possible names from a few that normally have some idea. Whoever it is that Tinkle has targeted, he is keeping it under wraps beyond the ordinary. I will not be surprised if Tinkle has a pretty solid player in the works. He has been getting a few players, that at one time were considered out of our reach. Can it continue again this spring?

wow what a weird recruitment, makin my head hurt. so i am assuming he was in fact visiting us and not the cats. either way i love the signing, from what little i have seen of him i think he will fit very nicely with who we have and what we need.

would love for him to talk his teammate mr. maxwell to join if we have in fact offered. kinda reminds me of jake wiley from these short vids, athletic and versitile. in tinks we trust! Go Griz!
