It was posted on Facebook, that Anthony Johnson recent suffered a serious stroke, and is fighting for his life. A GoFundMe has been established, and a Caringbridge site has been created to follow his healing process. All of Griz Nation remembers the highlight reel game he had against Weber State in the Big Sky Conference title game in 2010, and we wish him and his family nothing but positivity and healing!

If you are able, please contribute, as the family will undoubtedly incur massive expenses.

My wife had just told me. She had seen Jim O'Days' Facebook post. Bummer. Hope he recovers, and recovers well.

Nice of you to put the GoFundMe here.

Just read that on Facebook. Terrible news. Kid was real fun to watch. Wish him a full recovery and will donate a bit now.

As much as I hated losing that game, I was glad to be there to witness the game that he had against us. He was incredible in that second half. He was unstoppable.

I hope that he has a full recovery. He is way too young for that to happen to him.

Love that guy. I remember the first game I got to see him in person. It was Griz/Cat in Bozeman. My Dad and I were blown away at how easily he could get to the basket. An all-time great at the U. Sure hope he can fight and make as good a recovery as possible!

As of 10:34 mountain time the Go-Fund-Me account for Anthony is at $15,000 and counting. Anthony gave his all to be a Griz. The least we can do is pledge $20, $30 or whatever to help his family.
To read his story is truly a remarkable accomplishment. If I remember correctly from his story his eye sight was failing even when he played for us. Again, trying to remember his story I recall the night he scored 41 against Weber he could barely see the basket, it was just a blur but pure will power drove him that night.
Our prayers are with you Anthony.

Also, I don't suppose someone could get this info/gofundme in front of Lillard's eyes, could they? He may just be willing to help an old adversary...
