Another Loss...

We are a 1/2 game up now on PSU. We need to beat Weber State and hope WSU stumbles another game or 2. I watched the PSU/MSU game on altitude. It looks like if teams commit to defending the perimeter and play Dominguez aggressive they get a little frustrated. Fortunately for the BSC, offensively they do not have alot of diversity in ways they can beat someone. All their better players are athletic wing perimeter types. At times they are solid with their bigs, but they rely mainly on garbage buckets and rebounding for their points. They are not very effecient in half court sets in the paint.

If they had Morrison or any of their past bigs they would be much more consistent and more difficult to defend.

Nice Win for the CATS!

So, Griz and PSU win out. WSU wins all the rest of the games except PSU and Griz, they all finish with 3 losses. If this scenario happens and MSU finishes just behind WSU, PSU, and Griz, Grizzlies would have the tie breaker for sweeping MSU where PSU and WSU only split.

Way the Griz are playing now, this could happen. Well, as long as MSU stays in fourth place. If a team like ISU places above MSU, then Griz would not have the tie breaker.

I should also have added, it would be really nice if Griz won out and WSU and PSU lose out. That would eliminate any tie break situation.

Based on what I saw in Missoula against MSU and what happened this weekend, I don't think the Griz can overlook the Cats. This weekend should be the toughest game left on the regular season schedule.

It seems like something has happened to PSU? They don't look like the same team that played GU earlier.
Dominquez seems out of sync and at times some of the others don't seem as fired up?

Its good to see UM playing better basketball right now, but dont get too excited.

Montana is 11-1 at home, but are only 2-8 on the road this season and only 1 road win was a conference win. (EWU)

4 of Montana's last 6 games are on the road.

Got to be able to win on the road if you want to be considered in the running.

So far All I see is a team who can win at home.

Good luck, its getting a little more interesting now.

Without question. It appears a number of posters are overlooking what should be a great Griz/Kitty game! This is the time of the year you look at one game at a time.

GO GRIZ!

There are some off the court issues at PSU. Dominguez was benched for a good part of the kitty game, and that may have been the difference. You don't just replace the BSC MVP.

It is a little odd. He is kinda sorta part-time in the dog house. I think it was the same when we played PSU.

No, he just played like crap and they benched him during the UM game.

The Oregonian on Dominguez' playing time against UM:
"Vikings guard Jeremiah Dominguez, the reigning Big Sky MVP, spent much of the second half on the bench and finished with only five points in 25 minutes of play.

"I just felt like (Dominic) Waters and Murray were doing a good job," Bone said. "Jeremiah was not having one of his better nights. I wanted the guys in there that were making the shots. "

The Oregonian on Dominguez' playing time against MSU:
"The Vikings were without some of that talent for much of the first half Sunday. Jeremiah Dominguez, the team's top playmaker, and sixth man Dominic Waters did not start after missing curfew following Thursday night's loss to Montana.

Dominguez sat out the first 10 minutes and did not start the second half. He finished with nine points in 19 minutes. Waters was on the bench for the opening 15 minutes, but still led the Vikings with 19 points.

You wouldn't think our sleepy little mill town could offer much in the way of temptation to such cosmopolitan guys.

Definitely not a rumor, I saw both of them with my own eyes dancing up a storm at stocks on Thursday night. Seemed like they were on the hunt for some young ladies...
