Annual 2025 Grizzly Record Watch

Time for the annual record watch post and well, as expected there's not many career records to watch for this year. With so many new faces, we got a lot of guys just starting their Montana careers. Unfortunately this is probably foreshadowing the decline of career records being threatened the way the transfer portal is taking us. Anyway, here we go.

The biggie to watch for this year is Bobby Hauck's conference victory total. He's seven wins short of becoming the cons all time leader with an eight game con schedule. With our schedule, many are predicting he'll get at least six to tie Jerome, the current con leader.

Most Big Sky wins in conference history
1st 85 Jerome Souers NAU ‘98-‘18
2nd 79 Bobby Hauck ‘03-‘09, ‘18-present

Eli Gillman is looking to make his way on to the Mt Rushmore of Grizzly RB's this year with the potential to crack the top four in rushing yards and TD's. His 4th TD on the year will put him in the top 5 for total TD's, passing Mariani. He possibly could also crack the top 10, maybe as far as 7th in all purpose yards.

Last but not least(especially in Bobby's eyes) is the career punting record. Currently Morrison stands in 2nd place. His average though is a full 3 yards behind Buschini. It may be a near impossible task for him to overcome. He would have to average about 49 yards a punt if he punted about 40 times which would shatter Buschini's single season record. Probably not gonna happen but hopefully he can lock in 2nd place.
