Andrew fired up another blog for eGriz and it's terrific.

I was at that wretched Weber game in 2007. We had friends with us who had never been to a Griz game before. It was a sad, sad day ... and cold and wet ... and there was no hot coffee to be had in the stadium.

Learning what it takes to win on the road is key. So 2007 was the most talented team? Hum...

Mass Effect guy myself.

Great article, love the good Hauck stories. Hope Andrew puts one out around cat/Griz week about his experience under Hauck during those games!

Guys who played or had a shot in the NFL:

Colt Anderson
Cody Balogh
Dan Beaudin
Kroy Biermann
Dan Carpenter
Colin Dow
Lex Hilliard
Levi Horn
Marc Mariani
Steve Pfahler
JD Quinn
Chase Reynolds
Shann Schillinger

I may be missing more but thats pretty talented team if you ask me..

Not to mention 5 of those players are currently still in the NFL. Very talented team, still cant believe Carpenter missed that kick against Wofford.

Bagley probably would have gotten a shot if he hadn't broken his arm, too.

They also should have had a Senior Jimmy Wilson at CB.

That was 2008 and so was I. Of course I also told their loudmouths that we'd see them in the playoffs...

I am pretty sure my sack is still drying out from that game. I had a group of about 20 of us, several had small kids and had to go to the vehicles as it was a miserable day in more ways than one. I stayed for the whole miserable thing.

No disrespect meant to anyone who's worn the colors, no matter what years they played. And yes I did play the game, but it was in that ner-do-well division that passed for 1A in those days. And forgive me for my fandom going back prior to 1995, or as I knew them, the dark days before the empire.

For example, the, 1969 team had 11 first team all-conference players and if memory serves, four more who were second team. Had there not been a BS eligibility ruling, both the 69 & 70 teams would have run UNDSU of the field in the bowl games.

Even in the non-descript seasons, there's been some great talent play for Montana.
