An idea on player discipline for breaking the law

Furthermore, just because the HC isn't solely responsible for determining the punishment doesn't mean he only needs to worry about coaching. It isn't essentially the punishment people are complaining about (supposedly) It's the actions or alleged actions that lead up to that. Here in Zootown, football players are guilty until proven innocent, and after they are proven not guilty, they are still guilty.

This athletic department is under much more scrutiny than departments at comparable institutions.

As I mentioned earlier. It's a football program in what is no longer a football town.
Disagree. I think the only reason why some people would say Missoula is no longer a football town is because we haven’t really had a lot of success. And I think once you start beating the cats and making the playoffs again, I think you’ll see that everyone will be motivated again, especially if we make a couple of deep runs in the playoffs.

Do you live in Missoula or is this your opinion? My personal opinion is that Missoula's slant left has influenced football a little bit, but the bigger impact has been felt from fans from other communities who are not as likely to travel as a few years ago because of product on field and because all games are on tv. I don't think Missoula has been as much of an influence in this drastic drop as other areas, outside of the student body of course. I grew up watching Griz football as a season ticket holder with my dad who played there in 60s, but once my family started growing our priorities changed and I stopped driving over the divide for the games. I know many of my peers who are in the same boat.
Yes I do live in Missoula and I happen to be a student at UM. I think it’s all on the field results. After the way our season finished last year, nobody was feeling motivated not even the students and it’s affected our attendance. In 2016 we had 3 games where we had over 26,000 fans, this year we didn’t have any and it affected our student attendance too because we’re not winning. Once we start winning again everyone will get excited and we will have community support again.
