Ameer Shamsud-Din 6-1 Portland Benson Tech HS

I hear the Griz have offered Ameer Shamsud-Din a 6-1 Point gaurd from Benson Tech High school in Oregon. Right now the griz and Albany are the only school who have offered him yet, but he is also being recruited by Florida, Clemson, Oregon State, Washington State and Stanford. The Griz have been watching him for a while but his recruiting has taken an uo swing since the summer. He also played some with Derek Selvig on the Portland Panthers AAU team this summer.

We will be regardless of what he decides. That win over Nevada coupled with the recruits we have coming is making MONTANA much more attractive.

You are correct, he is a junior this year, which makes this one of the earliest offer I know of for a non Montana kid by either Montana or Montana State.
