Stitt: QB Gustafson back at practice this week but Griz sticking w/ hot hand. Simis will be the guy this week.
Sports fans, rejoice: You may have been right all along about hot streaks. They aren't a figment of your imagination.

Contradicting academic studies dating back 30 years, researchers at Stanford, Berkeley, and Harvard are now finding that a "hot hand" in basketball or baseball is not a statistical illusion. In fact, hot streaks can help predict a player's likelihood of getting another hit or sinking another basket.

Lucas is like a wild card. Before it's all over we might see him sooner than later....stay tuned!

The guy is all over the place during practice.

Just ask us sorrowful Cubs fans about how that works with a certain guy named Murphy

Does AJ realize that he gets paid to be an objective, professional journalist? If Brady was all the way healthy this week, he'd probably start... And he bases this on what?

I think after seeing a 6 touchdown game from Simis, I think we could wait a week to make sure Brady is fully healthy. I want to see if Simis can put up another "W" on the board.

You'd have to question a decision to bench a guy who just tied the team record for TD passe in a game. Simis clearly earned another start. Well done kid.

YUP!!

You have to be high if you think Brady is a better start right now, even if fully healthy, over Simis.

Simis stats in 2 games(1 and a half really but let's just say two)

He leads or is close to the lead in the fcs in every major category in two games(1 was only half a game)

23/38 (60.5%)(can't find numbers in fcs)
430 yards (11.3 yards an attempt) (40th in ypg and 1st in ypa)
7 touchdowns(3.5 per game) (2nd behind EWU)
0 Interceptions

QBR: 216.3 (1st by a lot)

Sure, he could just be having a fluke game. There is also the possibility that he's an amazing QB. Give him a chance. He has done NOTHING in game to make you even question his ability. Until he does so, keep playing him.

The big thing is that Simis seems to be fully aware of the situation of the team. We probably have the best WR corps in the country. Jones, Roberts, and Henderson are all potential NFL players. Throw it up to them in a place they can get it and let them do what they do. I mean... it reminds me a lot of when we had Mariani and we went to the ship and in the first half we just put the ball in his hands and let him take over the game. The second half we forgot that and we stopped producing.
