This is a terrific young couple, who've had to overcome more than their share of challenges. I wish them godspeed every day, the rest of their lives -- and congratulations on the prospect of becoming parents (ah, how that will change their lives forever).
 
WOW, what a great article. AJ and Shaunte are easy people to pull for. I wish them the best personally and professionally. They are a couple that makes this world right. To anyone who knows AJ, please suggest he get into coaching as well. He would be a great coach at any level. His life experiences alone are motivating. Even to us old geezers reading these articles.
 
We were lucky enough to chat with Anthony and Shaunte about this back in Septemner and it was absolutely crazy to here him telling us about it. That man is the absolute definition of hard work and perseverance. He's extremely inspirational. And as far as coaching I absolutely agree. Both of them would be great. I'm guessing that's not #1 priority right now though haha they're going to be awesome parents!
 
Quite the story to say the least. Not just stellar athletes, but more importantly exceptional human beings to persevere as they do given the obstacles they have faced.

Best of fortunes to a terrific couple. :thumb:
