Sorry, not Vernon but still a very well known Junior Adams. Known as an All-American receiver at Mt St in the early 2000's, he has been the WR coach at EWash for the last 5 years. He has been officialy hired to the same pos at Boise. We can only hope he has been the one responsible for all the great receivers they've had.

He definitely had a lot to do with it.

I've wondered why Ash wasn't able to snag Adams for MSU. I guess you could argue that EWU is in Adams' home state, but it's in freaking Cheney, west of Spocompton. Junior would be treated well in MSUville, I'd think

Yeah...that's a good question. I assume that whenever there is a coaching change the new guy will generally want to fill the position coaches with guys he knows and trusts. It very well could have been a situation where Ash knew from the get go that Brian Von Bergen would be the WR coach if hired.

Also, it may have had something to do with turning the page from the Kramer era. Some of the guys who got in trouble were wide receivers, and there may have been thoughts that Junior didn't keep as close of an eye on his guys as Ash would expect.

I don't know any of this to be true, just pure speculation on my part. That said Junior is a great guy and is proving himself to be a phenomenal coach/recruiter. I wish him all the best.

BTW: Junior is originally from California, I believe the Bay Area.
